How I Design My Logos
The Beginning
When I first start designing a logo, I figure out what the client wants. This helps me to find out how I want the logo to look and what message I want to come across. I like to sketch out my ideas in a notebook to find out which design I like best.
Lines
When I’ve figured out what design I like best, I import it into Adobe Illustrator. I then use the pen tool to draw over my sketch to make a clean design. When I have it all lined out, I move on to the last part of my process.
Colors
When my design is all cleaned up, I figure out what kind of colors my client wants. When I have the colors the client wants, I move on to coloring the design in the way that looks best. When I have the coloring done, I send the design to my client to see if it looks the way the client wants. If the client likes the design, I import it out of Illustrator and send the jpeg, png, and Adobe files to the client.
